[TYPO3] UNIX group

Hello list,
I would like to be able to change the UNIX group of foles, which have 
been uploaded by FTP, via SSH/chgrp to 'nobody'. FTP and SSH are using 
the same group.
Using the chgrp command, I can't change the group to 'nobody', because 
the SSH group isn't a member of the 'nobody' group.

Would it be possible/secure to add the SSH group to the 'nobody' group? 
Or maybe there are other ways to be able to change the group of 
files/folders to 'nobody'? I don't have root access to the webserver 
(shared hosting environment).
